is the Foster and Adoptive Family Support Service's (FAFSS) list of the names
and descriptions, as presented to us, of children who are legally available for
adoption. These children are in need of loving and caring adoptive families.

and Vernon Veronica, born June 1994, and Vernon born May 1991 are
African-American sibling who are to be placed together. You can find more information

Album. Their photolisting number is A957. Veronica is a healthy
6 year old girl who is an energetic child with brown eyes and dark brown hair.
She attends Kindergarten. Veronica loves attention and outdoor activities as well
as playing with her dolls and the family pets. She enjoys sitting on your lap
and being read to. Veronica is diagnosed with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity
Disorder and take medications to help her focus on the tasks she is performing.
She is also diagnosed with Attachment Reactive Disorder and Oppositional Defiance
Disorder. She has experienced many losses in her life but will benefit from a
loving and caring family who can provide stability, structure, and consistency
to her life. Vernon is a healthy 9 year old boy who loves the outdoors
and child play in general. He is in the third grade in special education. He is
an active, energetic child. Vernon is diagnosed with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity
Disorder and is on medication for it. He is a very outgoing, social child who
is also kind to others. Vernon will be somewhat shy at first but once he feels
comfortable with someone he warms right up. He has had to deal with many losses
in his life and would thrive in a loving and caring family. Vernon and Veronica
have a close bond and they would benefit from a loving and caring family that
can provide them with permanency. Joshua Born October
1991, Joshua is a caucasian 8 year old boy whose interests and activities include
bicycling, plaing in the snow, and playing football. He also enjoys playing video
games. Joshua is in good pysical health. He enjoys interaction with adults and
responds positively to praise. Joshua responds well to a consistent and structured
environment. He is in a special education program and currently resides in a residential
facility. Joshua will benefit from a loving and caring family who can provide
him with a structured loving home environment. You can find more information and

Album. His photolisting number is A981. Samuel Samuel
is a handsome, Causasian, 9 year old boy. Sam is in good physical health except
for a lazy eye. He enjoys roller skating, video games, and swimming. His academic
perfomance is average, and possesses above average potential. Samuel is in the
3rd grade in regular classes. Sam is somewhat reserved as a way of keeping
himself invulnerable. Samuel has some behavioral problems such as authoritative
defiance and arguing with his brother. Since he has been placed in a separate
home from his brother, his behavior has improved. He is diagnosed with Attention
Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and is on medications for this. Sam states
that he is not afraid of anything, not even ghosts, spiders, or snakes. He likes
to watch the "Rugrats", "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark". and "Zoom". Sam also likes
his monthly visits with his siblings and looks forward to them. These visits are
expected to continue after his adoption. Samuel states that he is looking
forward to being adopted. He has said that he would like a two parent family with
older and younger siblings. Tiffany Tiffany is a beautiful
12 year old caucasian girl. She is physically in good health and is of average
intelligence. Tiffany enjoys bowling, eating out, shopping, swimming, and going
to theme parks. Tiffany is revealed to be a needy but very guarded individual
who wants affection and nurturance, but is somewhat distrustful of adults, and
receives weekly counseling. Tiffany is diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder and is on medication. Stephanie, Jeffery, and Ricky
Stephanie is a healthy and inquisitive, Caucasian 10 year old girl who is eager
to find a permanent home and family with her 2 brothers. She enjoys Girl Scouts,
gymnastics, singing, and writing in her journal. She is in 4th grade and participates
in Resource Room activities to supplement her learning skills. Stephanie can thrive
in a home where she and her brothers are safe, secure, and accepted as children
who are trying hard to deal with losses. Stephanie is currently in counceling
to help her address behaviors related to older issues of neglect. Jeffery
and Ricky are fraternal (not identical) twin, Caucasian 9 year old boys. Both
boys participate in counseling and are currently being re-evaluated for ADHD.
Jeffery is charming and busy, small for his age, with no known health problems.
He participates in Special Education classes and Occupational Therapy at school
to address his learning disabilities. Jeffery loves school and works hard to improve
his reading and number skills. Jeffery can be impulsive, and sometimes requires
patient redirection from the adults around him. He enjoys playing outside, riding
his bike, and going places with his foster family. He is an affectionate child
who is eager to find a family in which he and his siblings will be safe and loved.
Ricky is also eager to be adopted. He is also small for his age, but is in
good health. He has asthma, which rarely affects him or his high activity level,
and he has an asthma puffer just in case. Ricky love school, where he participates
in Special Education classes. He needs structure and personal interaction to keep
himself focused on his tasks. Ricky enjoys helping around the house, riding his
bike, taking field trips at school, and going places with his foster family. He
is an affectionate boy who will thrive in a structured, safe, and loving home.
Eduardo and Elliot Eduardo and Elliot are handsome Hispanic
boys, both with black hair and brown eyes. They have resided in the same foster
home together for the past 2 years. They have an older sister who has been adopted
by her foster parents. Eduardo is 6 years old. He is in a special day
service program at the House of the Good Shepherd, in the first grade. This school
is for children who are behaviorally difficult to manage in a public school setting.
Eduardo is diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and is currently
in therapy and taking medication. Eduardošs behavioral problems consist of fear
of closed spaces, angry outbursts, and delusions of grandeur in the past.
Eduardo enjoys playing video games, swimming, playing with various toys,
and riding his bike. Eduardo is an imaginative child who can be happy playing
by himself. Eduardo responds best in a highly structured home environment,
however there needs to be flexibility when considering Eduardošs special needs,
and past abuse. He needs a family who is able to give him unconditional love and
nurturing. Further, he will need a behavior program tailored to Eduardošs needs
would best encourage growth and change. Elliot is 8 years old. He is
in the third grade and attends regular education classes. He is diagnosed with
Conduct Disorder and is currently in therapy and taking medications. His behavioral
problems are depression brought on by low self-concept, occasional difficulty
following directions, and instigating his little brother. Elliot enjoys
playing video games, riding his bike, swimming, bowling and watching wrestling
on TV. Elliot needs a structured home that will be able to be patient with him
and provide him with the encouragement and praise that will help enhance his self-esteem.
It is the plan of DSS to place Eduardo and Elliot together in a two parent
adoptive family that is able to give them a great deal of love and attention.
They will also need a family that is willing to work through issues relating to
sibling rivalry, and willing to attend family counseling, if necessary.
Justin Justin is a handsome, Caucasian, 11 year old boy. He has
been diagnosed with severe ADHD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Oppositional
Defiant Disorder, severe Developmental Disorders, and multiple soft tissue and
bone injuries. More information on Justin will be provided as it becomes available.
Daniel Daniel is a Caucasian 12 year old boy. He is diagnosed
with ADHD, ODD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and other Health Impaired. Daniel
is on medications. Daniel also has asthma and is allergic to penicillin, weeds,
and ampicillin. Daniel states that he doesnšt like being in the sun, however he
states that he likes fishing. He has also stated that he enjoys crafts, especially
crocheting. He also likes music, trips, and video games. He is an A-student, and
attends BOCES special education classes. Daniel has an older brother who was adopted,
and continues to visit regularly. He also visits with his birth mother 3 times
per year. A loving, and patient family is needed to care for Danielsš special
needs. Michael Michael is a 13 year old boy. He is
diagnosed with a learning disability and has emotional problems. Michael is currently
in a therapeutic home, and attending Special education classes. He can be aggressive
with others and needs a lot of supervision and direction. A patient and experienced
family is needed for Michael. Eric Eric is a 17 year
old healthy Caucasian boy who is friendly and outgoing. Eric has an interest in
martial arts and music. He enjoys Chinese food, junk food, and going to the mall.
He has stated that he enjoys living in the city. Eric has also stated that his
dislikes are cauliflower and spinach. Eric liked to help out at the group home
he previously lived in. One of the workers at the home stated that they would
like 10 more kids just like Eric. He has recently been moved to a therapeutic
foster home. Eric is diagnosed with ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder
and is currently taking medication. When Eric becomes upset he will take a walk
to calm himself. He also attends counseling on a biweekly basis. Eric has an older
sister living in a separate therapeutic home, with which he visits. Eric is in
the ninth grade and attends a half day in a special education program, and a half
day in a community awareness program, which is a job training program. Eric has
received the Student of the Month Award from BOCES in April of 1998. Eric states
that he would like to be adopted by young parents who know what a teenager wants.
Eric needs a structured and organized family who is loving and caring, and have
